The Miriam Bailey Gallery opened in March 2005. The Gallery overlooks the River Bandon
on McSwiney Quay which runs parallel to the South Main Street, the town's principal artery.
The objectives of the Gallery are to:
- Provide the community with a diverse range of contemporary and original art.
- Support artists in exhibiting their work to the best advantage.
- Promote emerging young artists from the region and offer their work for sale in the gallery.
- Respond effectively to client interests.
Each month, the gallery hosts a new exhibition usually featuring two to three artists, but occassionally showcasing just one who concentrates on a single subject or theme.
For July we are featuring the workof gallery artists including: Barbara Barrett, Ellen Barrett, Mary Cartmel, John Desmond, Michael Downes, Fidelma Flanagan, Judy Glynn, Rob Howe, Eadaoin Harding Kemp, Marley Irish, John Jermyn , Caroline Levis, Catherine Macaulay, Mary Mackey, Anne Meggitt, Laura Mulligan, Dee Pieters, Jean O Farrell, Victor Richardson, Bernard Seguin Poirier, Wilf Perreault, Peter Scroope, Peter Wolstenholme.
ALSO INCLUDED WILL BE A SALE OF SELECTED GALLERY STOCK WITH UP TO 50 PER CENT DISCOUNT ON CERTAIN ITEMS
